(Singapore, 30.03.2026) On 27 March, the SCWO Gala Illuminate was held in conjunction with the 12th Singapore Women’s Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, honouring five outstanding women for their contributions in architecture, healthcare, literature, public service and military medicine. The Guest of Honour was Ms Jane Yumiko Ittogi, Patron of SCWO. Singapore-based wealth management firm Ruifeng Wealth Management participated as a key sponsor, supporting initiatives related to women and family development.

The five inductees into the Singapore Women’s Hall of Fame this year are Angelene Chan, Executive Chairman of DP Architects; public health pioneer Maud Ethel Perera (posthumous); internationally acclaimed author Meira Chand; healthcare leader and nursing administrator Pauline Tan; and Shalini Arulanandam, the first female Commander of the SAF Military Medicine Institute. Though from different fields, all five women have made significant contributions to Singapore’s social development and professional sectors, reflecting the important role of women in the nation’s progress.
Established by SCWO in 2014, the Singapore Women’s Hall of Fame recognises women who have made impactful contributions to Singapore’s society, culture and professional fields. To date, more than 200 women have been inducted. Their stories form an important part of Singapore’s social history and development.

In her speech, SCWO President Dr Seow Yian San noted that the Hall of Fame honours not only successful women, but also those who have quietly persevered in their respective fields and expanded the boundaries of what women can achieve. She said that these women did not begin their journeys with recognition or advantage, but through critical life choices, responsibility and long-term commitment, they carved out paths that were not traditionally open to women. The Hall of Fame, she said, is not only about recording success, but about showing future generations what is possible — when a society sees women as leaders, builders and decision-makers, society itself moves forward.
The theme of the evening was “Illuminate, Shine Together, Rise Together.” Speaking at the dinner, Ruifeng Director Ms Guo Lu said the theme symbolises the interconnected relationship between women, family and society. “Women, family and wealth are closely linked. A stable family often depends on the contribution and management of women, and family stability forms the foundation for social stability and wealth continuity. Wealth management is not only about managing numbers, but about planning for family, the future and social responsibility,” she said. She added that through collective effort, even small actions can build larger platforms and resources that contribute to social progress.

This is not the first time Ruifeng has supported women-related initiatives in Singapore. In 2025, Ruifeng supported the publication of the Chinese book She Power Singapore by Fortune Times and donated S$100,000 to support SCWO-related development programmes. Ruifeng believes that women play a critical role in family, society and economic development, and that supporting women’s development is not only a form of social contribution, but also an important part of long-term social stability and sustainable development.
As a firm focused on long-term wealth planning, Ruifeng advocates the philosophy that long-term wealth management and long-term social responsibility should go hand in hand. Wealth is not merely the accumulation of assets, but also the result of stable family relationships, social stability and a supportive environment for the next generation. Ruifeng actively participates in community service, cultural initiatives and social projects to create long-term value for society.

Over the past decade, Ruifeng has contributed to community development through charity initiatives, cultural activities and social service programmes, and has received recognition from the People’s Association. The firm has also supported arts and cultural initiatives that promote social cohesion, intergenerational communication and a more inclusive and trusting society.
Ruifeng stated that it will continue to work with organisations such as SCWO to support women’s development, family building and social initiatives. The firm believes that a society that respects women, values families and upholds social responsibility is one where wealth can be sustained and passed on across generations.
In an era of global economic and social uncertainty, the role of companies is not only to generate profit, but also to participate in building society. Ruifeng believes that the true role of the wealth management industry is not only to manage assets, but to help families plan for the future and contribute to a value system that can be sustained across generations.
