(Singapore, 04.08.2026)The St. Regis Singapore has partnered with acclaimed local pastry chef Janice Wong to launch a limited-time afternoon tea celebrating Singapore’s culinary heritage.
Available at The Tea Room from 3 August to 30 September, the collaboration reinterprets familiar local flavours through the refined format of the St. Regis afternoon tea ritual.
Wong, who was named Asia’s Best Pastry Chef by Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants in 2013 and 2014, described the menu as “a love letter to the flavours I grew up with”.
“This menu is a love letter to the flavours I grew up with. I’ve taken inspiration from Singapore’s rich culinary heritage and reimagined it through the lens of the St. Regis afternoon tea ritual,” she said.

The savoury selection includes Chwee Kueh with Mushroom Broth, which retains the distinctive flavours of chilli and preserved radish while presenting the dish in a more contemporary form. Another item, Ginger Sesame Chicken Roulade on Potato Blini, draws inspiration from Hainanese chicken rice.
The dessert selection features Kueh Salat made with pandan-scented glutinous rice, coconut custard and mango mousse, as well as an Osmanthus Sweet Bean Pastry inspired by ang ku kueh.
Other highlights include a Kaya and Coffee Entremet, reflecting the familiar pairing of kaya toast and coffee, together with the hotel’s signature scone and a Pandan Kaya Mochi Scone served with kaya jam and clotted cream. Guests will also receive unlimited servings of Janice Wong’s handcrafted chocolate bonbons.
Sushant Rege, Director of Food and Beverage at The St. Regis Singapore, said the collaboration showcases Singapore’s culinary talent while presenting nostalgic flavours through creative craftsmanship.
“Our collaboration with Chef Janice Wong celebrates Singapore’s world-class culinary talent while furthering our commitment to delivering distinctive dining experiences that will surprise and delight the palates of our guests,” he said.
The St. Regis afternoon tea tradition dates back to the 19th century, when it was introduced by Caroline Astor at The St. Regis New York. The ritual has since become a signature experience across the brand’s hotels and resorts worldwide, with each property offering its own local interpretation.

The St. Regis Singapore x Janice Wong afternoon tea is available daily from 3pm to 5pm at The Tea Room. Prices start from S$65++ per person with a glass of Copenhagen Sparkling Tea, or S$95++ per person with a glass of R de Ruinart Brut Champagne.
