(Singapore, Feb 14, 2020) Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has penned a Valentine’s Day note through his Facebook account to all the healthcare workers who are in the front line combating against the coronavirus outbreak.
In his post, the Prime Minister calls all the healthcare workers “a very special group of people, going above and beyond the call of duty to keep us all safe and well, and to keep Singapore going.”
The Prime Minister also posted a picture of his Valentine’s Day note which he wrote himself and reads as below:
“To all our doctors, nurses and healthcare workers,
Thank you for looking after your patients day after day, especially during this Covid-19 outbreak. Your loving care and commitment makes all the difference. We all stand with you and give you our full support.
Happy Valentine’s Day!”

So far, there are 58 confirmed Covid-19 cases in the island country. In his Feb 8 speech, the Prime Minister expected to see more confirmed cases in the coming days as there has been evidence of community spread.
